How to Succeed - The Entrepreneurs Guide to Success

By Donald Payne

I understand that not everyone is going to succeed as an entrepreneur. Simply put it is not for everyone. It has been proven to be a solution that many have longed for, but it may not be the solution for everyone. For some the day-to-day lifestyles that they lead are more than enough to satisfy. However, I have come to realize what separates those who can, from those who sit on the can. Below you will find a short list as to why becoming an entrepreneur might not be for everyone:

They lack drive.

They have no goals.

They are un-trainable.

They lack confidence.

They are unorganized.

They are not risk takers.

They are followers not leaders.

They lack belief in themselves.

They believe a 9-5 is the only option.

They are not dreamers or visionaries.

They enjoy living below their potential.

They refuse to trust in anyone or anything.

They don’t trust the products, the service or the process.

If any of the above-mentioned fit your agenda, don’t feel bad. There is absolutely nothing wrong with being your own person. However I must ask a question. What is your end game? What is your plan to create a better life for you and your family? Is your plan based on working the extra overtime that is slowly becoming a thing of the past? Maybe you plan on working 2 or 3 “extra” jobs until you get what you want out of life? Is your plan based on your company matched 401k that no longer exist? Whatever the reason, it should be understood that all of these factors are dependent on outside forces that you have no control over. Find a reason as to what you want and as to how you are going to get it. When that reason becomes strong enough you will find what you need and what fits into your agenda. To everything, there is a season, and there is a reason for every season. What’s yours?
