Thomas Kinkade Inspiration

As I sit in my new study, I decided to take a moment and view my surroundings. One of the most intriguing areas of this room hangs quietly on the walls. What is that you ask? I am referring to my Thomas Kinkade paintings. I could have chosen the view from the bay window, or the display case that houses my memorabilia but the most eye catching items at this time would have to be my paintings. In my study I have to of two very impressive prints. The largest print entitled “Rock of Salvation,” shows my love for Kinkade’s lighthouse works. The other paint entitled “Stairway to Paradise” is my all time favorite of his current works. This title has a special place in my collection. Not only does it serve as sentimental piece, it is also a limited edition (3 out of 710). If you are familiar with Thomas Kinkade paintings than you can understand my passion. If you have never experienced his gift than you are missing out on a treat.

Thomas Kinkade, the celebrated "Painter of Light"™ is one of the most widely collected and beloved artists of our day. An inspired idealist, Thomas Kinkade believes art has the power to touch people's hearts and change their lives. Kinkade's artwork is an outgrowth of his deep faith in God, which he believes to be the foundation of his work. ." Thomas Kinkade's paintings have become visions of hope and comfort, a welcome haven from the pressures of modern life. His complex technique bears great kinship to a little known group of nineteenth century American painters known as the Luminists. As Kinkade puts it, "Like the Luminists, I strive for three visual aspects in my work: soft edges, a warm palette, and an overall sense of light."

There is a lot that can be said concerning Thomas Kinkade’s paintings; I would need several web pages just to tell you about his current line of paintings. One particular paint series that Thomas Kinkade has recently created is the Disney collection. This collection has really sparked my interest. I am a Disney fan, I always have been every since I was a child. The collection that Kinkade has produced is vibrant colorful and mysterious. The collection is very limited in it’s numbers but my goal is to obtain the entire collection before they go out of print.
