The Ultimate Business Builder

We are now living in a world that is very informal. People no longer knock on your door and say, “Hello my name is Mr. Neighbor, and it’s a pleasure to meet you.” Instead they send you an email from the neighborhood association telling you to fill out your personal information so they can add it to their files.
Businesses are no different. Big box stores have taken the place of the mom and pop shops. The old mom and pop shops offered personal service. They knew your name. They knew you children’s name. If you sent little son or daughter to the store, the clerk would more than likely know why they were there.
Gone are the days of business meetings taking place on the golf course or at the local café. This noble effort to build relationships has been replaced with Skype and Webinars. Gone are the days of that personal touch. Gone are the days when a relationship truly meant something. Gone are the days that people show you that they really care.
Regaining that personal touch in a digital world is not difficult. It’s just that most people are so hung up on an agenda that they forget to add that personal touch.
Facebook, Twitter, mass emails and phone broadcast all have value. They are great connectors and can really help spread your message. They all have their place in this new society but they all lack one thing and that is the personal touch.
Building a business online is great. Building a solid long lasting relationship is even greater. In my personal opinion nothing beats real world personal interaction. The type of interaction that takes you from behind the 1’s and 0’s into the Ooh’s and Ah’s of life.
People want to know the real you. They want you to care. They want a relationship that is meaningful. Starting today, get to know the people you care about. Show them you care. Show them that they mean more to you than just a sale.
